Glowen Kyei –Mensah
Glowen has more than 10 years’ experience working with development organisations. This includes technical expertise and experience in programme management, planning, policy advocacy, designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluating. She has worked extensively with Civil Society and Government on issues of citizen voice and participation. She has good understanding of Aid policies and working with development partners. She has taken a lead in policy engagements at the local, ministerial and parliamentary levels. Her experience include the use of rights based approaches and participatory methodologies, including policy advocacy, sustainable livelihoods,
participatory monitoring and evaluation, training and facilitation, and organisation development.She holds a MBA from the Edinburgh Business School and is a doctoral candidate of the Heriot Watt University in Scotland, UK.

Tony D. K. Dogbe
Tony’s career in development practice started right after he completed his first degree in 1984. Since then he has worked in various capacities, notably the Executive Director of the Centre for the Development of People (CEDEP) from 1992-2000; co-founder and Co-Director/Managing Director of Participatory Development Associates (PDA) Ltd from 2001 to date. Having completed nearly 60 consultancy assignments, alongside full time executive/managing director roles in two companies over the past 18 years, Tony Dogbe is an experienced social/community development worker, trainer, researcher, manager, consultant and workshop facilitator/moderator. His professional experience is rooted in personal experience and three years village level community development work with the Community Improvement Unit of the government’s National Service Scheme.

Celia Marshall
Celia is one of the founder directors of PDA and now works as a Senior Consultant with the company, as well as on its Board. She has lived and worked in Ghana for nearly 25 years in state and non-state organisations, working as a director, manager, OD consultant, team leader, facilitator, trainer, researcher, teacher and volunteer.

Nana Sikaba King
Nana is a dedicated human rights advocate who consequently changed her career after working as a corporate lawyer for several years. She worked in the human rights sector in London before contributing to the work of the Coalition on the Right to Information, Ghana. She joined PDA in November and since then has mainly looked after the Mwananchi Project.

Frances Quarcoopome
Frances joined PDA in March 2012. Her background is in Politics and Sociology and completed her Masters in Globalisation and Developement in September 2011 from the University of Sheffield. Growing up in Ghana she always had the urge to come back to Ghana and work within the Human development sector. While at University she co-founded the United Nations Youth and Students Association (UNYSA) in order to provide a place where people could campaign for projects close to their heart. The aim of the association was also to allow students to attend and experience the Model United Nations (MUN) conferences held around the world. The association successfully attended the London Model United Nations twice. Although she is no longer there the association continues to be run by students at the university and they plan on attending the MUN in Geneva this year. " I love being back in Ghana and with an organisation that has had the confidence in me straight out of my Masters. I am able to use my own initiative while learning new skills and enhancing my knowledge at PDA."

Kobby Optson
Kobby joined Participatory Development Associate Ltd, PDA as an intern in December, 2010 immediately after completing his National Service programme, teaching in the Agona East District in the Central Region. Through determination, hard work and having an open mind towards learning opportunities, he has progressively gained necessary experience in various development sectors. Kobby has been involved in major studies undertaken by PDA in areas such as research, advocacy, consultancy and training.In his personal time Kobby loves watching animal and nature documentaries, reading, having edifying conversations and travelling. His aspiration is to be an inventor.

Bismark Dzahene-Quarshie
Bismark joined Participatory Development Associate Ltd, PDA as an intern in July, 2012 after completing his National Service programme at ISSER, Legon.
He is an open minded self-motivated person and team player with innovative ideas and always ready to learn more. He also has good communication skills and high interpersonal relations.
Bismark likes to associate and work in a progressive and dynamic organization that grooms one to fully express his potentials and provide an opportunity for professional and personal growth.

Bismark Nii Kwetei Quartey
Bismark has continuously worked as a development worker for the past 7 years. His Development career started with Integrated Development Centre (IDC), an NGO in the Northern Region in 2005. During his time in IDC, Bismark managed several donor sponsored projects on food security, health, education and water & sanitation. He pioneered the establishment of IDC Sub-Office in the Nanumba South District, of which he was the head from 2006-2008.
Bismark later joined Participatory Development Associates Limited (PDA) Ltd in September, 2008. In PDA, hehas co-ordinated projects, trained organisations and individuals and also, led important assessment, evaluations and research in various regions and districts in Ghana. Bismark is currently the Programs Co-ordinator for ‘Ghana Child Right Project’, a project that seek to promote the Rights of Children in Small/Informal Mining Communities inthe Ashanti Region. PDA is implementing the Project with District Partner (SSF) with Funding from Free the Slave (FTS-USA).“I like the fact that my job gives me the opportunity to give voice to the voiceless and marginalised in society, and helping to bring smiles they have long for to their faces”.

Kamil Abdul Salaam
Kamil Abdul Salam joined PDA as an Associate in late 2008 after National Services with the Planning and Coordinating Unit of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly. He is very active in the Advocacy, Research and Training (ART UNIT) and has since participated in studies in the areas of Climate Change, Poverty and Vulnerability, Gender and Advocacy. He also a member of the program staff that facilitate training for communities and civil society organizations including implementing partners, farmer associations and community members to strengthen their capacities and provide the enabling environment for sustainable development at the grassroots level.

Beatrice Boatemaa Sarpong
Beatrice first joined PDA as an intern in 2007 and assisted in the organisation of the Creative Holiday School; a programme which sought to help kids realize their full potential and expand their horizons and capabilities during the long vacation. Since joining PDA in 2010 after National Service, she has participated in studies such as the Community Assessment of SOS - FLIP programme, Effects of the Financial, Food and Fuel Crises on Vulnerable Children in Ghana and the ongoing Child Right Project in Small Mining Communities. I am always happy when I am given an opportunity to contribute to the processes of change and the development of people.
